Mr. Arellano is a licensed Civil Engineer. He brings with him 40 years of extensive experience in the local and international drilling industry such as Diamond Core Drilling, Waterwells, Geotechnical/Soil Investigation, Foundation Drilling, Slimhole Geothermal, Reverse Circulation, HeliLifts, Project Management & Multicultural Personnel Management, Hands-on Training & Consultancy, HSE & Contracts Formulation and Implementation. Prior to rejoining EDCO, he had several international drilling stints in China, India, Africa and was Acting General Manager of Hunan Pacific Geological Exploration Inc. (HPGEI)-Drilling Division, based in China, General Manager of Diamond Drilling Corp. of the Philippines (DDCP) and General Manager of Drill Corp Philippines, Inc. (DCP).
Mr. Arellano is responsible for the company’s overall performance, including such areas as Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Field Operations, Workshops, and Human Capital.
He graduated Top 3 in the 1980 graduating class of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Central Philippines University in Iloilo City. A year after, he passed the Civil Engineers Licensure Examination. His journey to the world of drilling began when he held the Drilling Operations Superintendent post at the PNOC – Coal Corporation. While at PNOC, he continued a Mechanical Engineering correspondence course for three years but shifted to, and subsequently completed, a Drillers Course (ADITC) in Australia during the late ‘80s.
TRIXIE LENNY L. YU
Support Services Manager
Ms. Yu is a certified public accountant (CPA). She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in finance and administration management and solid audit in the multinational, local and publicly listed companies in various industries such as manufacturing, construction, trading, shipping, information technology, hotel and casinos and service companies. Prior to joining EDCO, she was the Senior Manager of Punongbayan and Araullo (a Member Firm of Grant Thornton International) Audit & Assurance Division Cebu Branch – one of the top 3 accounting firms in the Philippines.
She is primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the finance, administration, and human resources of EDCO. She has responsibility over, and accountability for, providing reliable and timely financial and other management reports to top management; and ensures compliance with tax and other government regulations.
Ms. Yu graduated magna cum laude and Top 1 in the March 1995 graduating class of Bachelor of Science in degree in Accountancy from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. In the same year, she was 3rd place in the October Philippine Certified Public Accountants’ Licensure Examination.
